Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.
Yin yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas. It also helps us to regulate the body's flow of energy.
Yoga Drills is a class where we can stop, pause and start our practise! In a more informal class environment you can come to do a pose and ask a question ot 2, how to deepen or you struggle with a pose and want to learn and understand the pose. An unchanging sequence of 26 postures in a heated room, designed as a rejuvenating exercise to strengthen the entire body, from head to toe.
